JOSEPH KESSELS (Utrecht, The Netherlands)

Joseph Kessels (1952), has been partner in Kessels & Smit, The Learning Company since 1977. He is part time professor of Human Resource Development corporate education at Twente University. In 1989, he became the director of the Foundation for Corporate Education and was awarded the 'Training & Development Prize' of the NVvO, the Dutch Training and Development Association. As a consultant he conducted projects for national government bodies, health care, banking, transport, telecom and industry. He consulted with international firms as DSM Chemicals, Shell, Philips, Sara Lee-DE, Heineken and KPMG, RABOBANK, ING-BANK, KPN Dutch Telecom, and the Dutch Railroad. As an academic he has published several books and numerous articles on training and development and lectured at the universities of Leiden, Utrecht, Amsterdam, and at the Durham University Business School in the United Kingdom.
