HOGESCHOOL VOOR MUZIEK EN DANS/ROTTERDAMSE DANSACADEMIE
The Hogeschool voor Muziek en Dans (HMD) consists of the Rotterdams Conservatorium and the Rotterdamse Dansacademie. The school is the largest educational institute of its kind in the Netherlands, with approximately 1000 students from all over the world. The Rotterdamse Dansacademie, founded in 1931, is one of Europe’s most important centers for professional modern dance education. The students receive a topical and individually directed preparation for a professional career as a dancer, dance teacher or choreographer. Renowned dance professionals from in and outside the Netherlands are regular guest teachers at the academy. The academy maintains intensive relationships with the international dance world as well as with other centers for dance education. The Rotterdams Conservatorium, with a history dating from 1829, offers a wide range of study program in classical music, pop, jazz, Argentinian tango, flamenco, Indian music, Turkish music, Latin, music production and music theatre. www.hmd.nl

STICHTING GEZONDHEIDSZORG VOOR DANSERS
The mission of the Stichting Gezondheidszorg voor Dansers (SGD) - The Dutch Health Care Foundation for Dancers - is to promote the importance of healthcare for dancers in order to enhance the dancer’s performance and well-being. The foundation is geared to disseminate information, encourage education, stimulate discussion and facilitate the exchange of experience in order to optimize a healthy career and longevity for dancers. The SGD reaches out to all disciplines involved with health, well-being and safety for independent dancers and dancers in dance companies, plus those in professional dance education.

HOLLAND DANCE FESTIVAL
Founded in 1987, the biennial Holland Dance Festival (HDF) is a recurring opportunity to recognize and stimulate important artistic developments and to illuminate underlying patterns in dance development. HDF encourages exchange and presentation of dance in relation to other art forms, and, in cooperation with leading Dutch international and cultural institutions, initiates projects that place international theater dance in a wider context. From the start the HDF has worked closely with the internationally acclaimed Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT). The ninth edition of the HDF, ‘Singular Sensations’, - during which the Not Just Any Body & Soul conference takes place - is built around the experience of the spectator. One's own ‘Singular Sensations’. Based on this idea, the HDF 2003 is bringing together a collection of 29 vastly different productions. Enjoy!
